ARTISTIC PATHS, an Exhibit by artists, Peggy Fletcher and Patricia Watkins

'Artistic Paths', an exhibit by Peggy Fletcher and Patricia Watkins at Gallery Los Olivos March 1 - 31.

Peggy Fletcher is a soft touch realistic watercolorist with a touch of impressionism. Her scenes of diverse subject matter range from flowers to animal critters to traveled landscapes. Her palette of colors are light and airy, highlighting the fluididty of her media. In addition to her original watercolors, Peggy will have some limited edition prints.

Patricia takes a different path as a beader and jewelry designer. Her designs are characterized by color, attention to detail, and a variety of styles. She will be showcasing 3 cases of jewelry from classic dressy to casual.

2019 Solvang Century, Metric & Half Century

This is the 37 Annual version of this public participation bike ride that will start and finish at the SYV Marriott

Hotel at 6:30 am on Saturday March 9th. We expect 2500 - 3000 recreational riders will participate due to the

reputation of our ride being will organized and very scenic. Local business that would like to be 

involved in the event as a sponsor or vendor at our Cycling Festival should contact Rancy Ice at the email address 

below. There will be a BBQ lunch, live DJ, massage therapists and 25 vendors in our Cycling Festival site that will 

be set up in the rear parking lot of the Marriott Hotel.

A Talk by Mark Humpal & Book Signing “Ray Stanford Strong, West Coast Landscape Artist”

The Wildling Museum of Art and Nature is pleased to announce the talk and book signing program by author Mark Humpal “Ray Stanford Strong, West Coast Landscape Artist.” This event coincides with the main gallery exhibit Ray Strong, A Collectors Passion, on display through July 8. The talk will take place on Saturday, March 9, from 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM in the Valley Oak Gallery.

A Conversation in Poems and Stories

The Wildling Museum of Art and Nature is pleased to present “A Conversation in Poem and Stories.” This program is free and open to the public. It will take place on Sunday, March 10, from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM in the Valley Oak Gallery.  The program features the work of two accomplished artists: Jerry Dipego, Ron Colone. About Jerry Dipego

Jerry Dipego was raised in the Laketowns of Northern Illinois. He is a writer of fiction whose 55-year career has included 4 novels, over 35 films, and 7 stage plays.  His works can be found at www.geralddipego.com. He has performed readings of his work solo or with a cast for the past 12 years, including poetry, drama, and comedy, and he treasures the pure and immediate delivery of his words to an audience.
